Alyson Sullivan-Almeida
Alyson Sullivan-Almeida serves as State Representative for Massachusetts’ 7th Plymouth District, representing Abington, Whitman, and Precincts 1–3 of East Bridgewater.
A lifelong Abington resident, Alyson attended local public schools before continuing her education at Cardinal Spellman High School, Suffolk University, and New England Law Boston. Her professional background includes victim advocacy, legal work, and public service.

Education & Local Aid
School funding and municapal aid
Duringing the FY2027 House budget debate, Alyson Sullivan-Almeida filed amendments addressing special-education reimbursement, regional school transportation, and unrestricted general local aid. Amendments 1304, 1306, 1307, and 1308 were ultimately rejected by the House.

Her FY2027 budget amendments also included East Bridgewater fire maintenance and infrastructure, police equipment upgrades, and Grab and Go meals through the East Bridgewater Council on Aging. The public-safety items were listed under Consolidated Amendment C and the senior-services item under Consolidated Amendment B; both consolidated amendments were not adopted.

Sullivan-Almeida filed FY2027 amendments proposing changes to certain public-benefit charges on utility bills, including a 25 percent reduction in specified gas charges and a separate proposal concerning public-benefit charges on electric and gas customers.
